Lilian hails from sheep and beef country in the back blocks of Matawai but has migrated to the warmer climes of Opotiki.

Lilian has over seven years of experience as an environmental consultant, specialising in resource consent applications, particularly for water. Lilian previously worked for Fonterra in several roles, including providing technical support for resource consent applications, wastewater treatment and wastewater irrigation.

Lilian also has experience in catchment projects and farm environmental planning. She is a fully qualified user of OverseerFM and a Certified Nutrient Management Adviser.

She has a passion for working with farmers and growers and helping them to navigate environmental regulations and to manage their natural resources sustainably so that their business is enduring and successful.

Her vision for this project is to engage farmers and growers to work together for the health of the catchment. She aims to help them be proud of their achievements and be recognised for their outstanding work.
